PORVORIM: Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate today said that there will be authority formed to handle land with no owners.
“There will be authority formed to handle land with no owners. Government officials will not be involved in it and one shouldn’t doubt the government,” said Babush
He further said that even the property that the opposition spoke about, will be taken care of by this authority.
There will be an authority formed under which all the lands with no owners will come. Government officials are not involved in it and you shouldn’t doubt the government.
Babush said that state government will bring in amendments to the Code of Comunidades and frame rules to give more powers to Comunidades to regularise lands encroached prior to 2014.
“Comunidades following amendments, will be given powers to take the decisions regarding these encroachments including fixing of the price for the land. However, minimum price will be prescribed by the Sub-Registrar,” he had said
