PANAJI: Panaji MLA and Minister Babush Monserrate has written to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant demanding to conduct an enquiry on bad roads.
“There should be an enquiry into this matter, and also enquiry should be made on PWD officials as the roads which were done just three months ago are in bad shape,” said Monserrate.
He further said that there should be vigilance enquiry in this matter.
“Babush says it’s surprising that the Roads which were Hot mixed three Months back have washed out. I have asked for inquiry in the matter; Concerned Engineer needs to be taken to task,” he added.
Monseratte said that the roads in Panjim are really bad. He said that the PWD is already short of funds.
“PWD has said that they will do the work, and that’s the reason I told Chief Minister, let Smart City take it up,” he said.
“We need to take advantage of the Smart City as the government will spend only 50 per cent rest will come from Centre,” he said.
