OLD GOA: Due to religious services on September 18, the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa will be closed to tourists, visitors, and other people for the entire day, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Catholic Masses will be held on Wednesday at 7 a.m. in Konkani and 8 a.m. in English, as usual. Three Jesuit deacons will receive their priestly ordination at ten a.m., administered by Daman Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao, the Archbishop of Goa.
According to a news release from Fr. Patricio Fernandes, S.J., Rector of the Basilica of Bom Jesus, admission to the services will be restricted to the special invitees of those who will be ordained.
