CANACONA – Demanding a quicker resolution of transportation problems faced by Canacona residents, Janardhan Bhandari met RTO Officials of Canacona and resorted to all private minibus services.
Janardhan Bhandari, along with several others (who he calls Jana Sena -Warriors), met RTO officials in Canacona on Wednesday and demanded to restart private mini bus services in Canacona immediately to solve the transport problem faced by the people of Canacona.
Stating mission and vision is for a progressive Canconca.
Bhandari informed that during the 1st Lockdown, services of private buses were halted along with other economic activities. Even though life is back to normalcy, still many private buses are out on the road due to skyrocketing prices of petrol/diesel, and moreover, due to the unavailability of minibuses, parents of school-going students, government and private employees (staff), and others suffers a lot.
Janardhan Bhandari urged the government either to help these private bus owners properly or take possession of these private buses and run these buses for the benefit of the general public.
He further demanded that if both options are not possible, the government must start Kadamba Mini buses in interior areas of Canacona taluka to benefit students and others.
