Panjim: The Congress Party strongly condemned the attitude of the BJP government and demanded the Prime Minister must reveal the truth to the Nation on the actual situation at the India China Border demanded GPCC President Girish Chodankar.
He was speaking at the “Shahido Ko Salam” programme organized by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee at Azad Maidan today. Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, MP Francisco Sardinha, former Minister Alex Sequeira, South Goa District President Joseph Dias, North Goa District President Vijay Bhike, Youth Congress President Varad Mardolkar, former Mayor of Panjim Surendra Furtado, Office bearers and workers of the Congress Party were present during the programme.
Girish Chodankar further stated that Modi government should listen to the appeal made by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former President Rahul Gandhi and take all the people into confidence to teach China a lesson. He said that Congress Party will support the government on issues pertaining to Nations Security and Safety.
Our defence forces are capable in protecting our borders and giving befitting reply to the enemy. I pay my homage to all the brave soldiers who laid their lives for the Nation. The entire Nation is standing solid behind our armed forces. The Prime Minister should not hide anything and come out open to take each citizen of the Country into confidence stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.

The Congress Party leaders and workers offered floral tributes and lighted candles at the Martyrs memorial to pay tributes to the 20 soldiers who laid their lives saving Mother India.
