SANCOALE: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Minister Mauvin Godinho, former sarpanch and panch Girish Pillai, along with Sancoale sarpanch Anusha Lamani, on Tuesday extended full support to BJP candidate Sunil Gawas, asserting that the party was firmly on course for victory in the Sancoale Zilla Panchayat constituency.
The leaders were addressing a well-attended corner meeting held near the Sevalal Temple at Zorint, which witnessed a tremendous response from local residents, party workers and supporters, indicating strong grassroots backing for the BJP candidate.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant urged voters to strengthen the BJP by electing a candidate who would work in coordination with the government. “The BJP believes in development with stability. When our candidate is elected, people can be assured that their issues will be addressed without delay and development works will gain momentum,” Sawant said, expressing confidence that Sunil Gawas would emerge victorious with the people’s blessings.
Minister Mauvin Godinho said that the BJP had always stood with the people of Sancoale and delivered development across sectors. “This election is about choosing a candidate who will work for the people and not indulge in politics of disruption. Sunil Gawas has the backing of the party, the government and the people, and I am confident of his win,” Godinho said.
Former sarpanch and panch Girish Pillai appealed to voters to support the BJP candidate for sustained development. “We have seen what coordinated governance can achieve. By electing the BJP candidate, people will ensure that local issues are taken up effectively and resolved,” he said.
“The large turnout itself reflected the public mood.The response here clearly shows that people have made up their mind. There is strong faith in the BJP and its candidate. Sunil Gawas will win convincingly,” he said.
BJP candidate Sunil Gawas thanked the senior leaders and supporters, assuring that he would work tirelessly for the constituency. “With your support and guidance, I will work honestly for the welfare of the people and ensure development reaches every household,” Gawas said.
