CANACONA: A 58 year old UK National suddenly went into a coma in a Cottage he was staying with his wife at Patnem after complaining of unbearable chest pain on Thursday.
According to Canacona police, the foreign National named David Alan Chadwick, age 58 yrs, residing at Dwarka Cottage, Patnem, Canacona Goa, holding Passport No. 525876381, issued on 25/02/2025 and valid till 25/09/2025, visa no.902C0EF80, national of London, UK, was found lying in an unconscious state on the bed in his room at Dwarka cottage.
‘As such said man was shifted for medical treatment at CHC, Canacona for medical treatment, wherein said person was declared brought dead’, informed Canacona police.
Police further informed that during their enquiry with the wife of the deceased namely Mrs Michelle Louise Chadwick, (UK) National, it was revealed that said deceased began to complain about unbearable chest pain and after a few seconds he became unconscious.
According to Canacona Police, the wife of the deceased does not suspect any foul play, as she suspects her husband might have died due to cardiac arrest.
As part of enquiry Canacona police conducted enquiry at the Scene of Unnatural Death (UD) occurrence and Inquest Panchnama was conducted and later, the body was shifted to SDGH, Margao.
The dead body of the deceased is preserved at South Goa District Hospital Morgue, Margao Goa for medico legal formalities and the British embassy will be accordingly informed.
While Canacona Police Station registered the death as a UD No.01/2025 U/s 194 BNSS 2023, further enquiry is with PSI Vishal L Velip Canacona Police Station.
