Pernem Police have registered an offence under sections 269, 188, 279 IPC against 03 private bus personnel for not stopping at Patradevi checkpost.
PI Jivba Dalvi informed that today morning at around 09:15 hrs one Maharashtra bus bearing reg no: MH-47-AS-3464 sped through Patradevi checkpost in a rash and negligent manner. However the alert police staff chased the bus and brought it back to the check post.
Upon checking all the passengers were having either possessing covid negative certificate or vaccinated with both doses.
However as the bus had not stopped for checking it violated the guidelines laid down by the government.
Hence based on the basis of complaint given by Executive Magistrate Shri. Satyawan Harji FIR was registered and bus staff consisting of 02 drivers namely 1. Mr Samir Ambekar N/o Ratnagiri, Maharashtra and 2. Sagun Naik, N/o Aronda, Maharashtra along with the conductor 3. Mr Siddharth Shinde N/o Boriwali, Mumbai were placed under arrest.
The private bus had also been taken into custody by Pernem Police.
Separate arrangements were made by Pernem police to ensure that all passengers reached to there destinations.
PI Dalvi informed that police staff along with magistrate deployed are always alert at the check post and this incident is a good example of thier alertness.
Further investigation is in progress.
