CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered a criminal case after a 32-year-old businessman was allegedly assaulted with a beer bottle and a small knife at a club in Baga during the early hours of Saturday.
The incident reportedly took place at around 5 am on May 24 at Haveli Club, Tito’s Lane, Baga, Bardez.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Milton Dsouza, son of Joocky Dsouza, a resident of Sai Nagar, Aldona, Bardez-Goa, originally from Kudal, Maharashtra.
In his complaint, Dsouza alleged that the accused persons — identified as Shailesh Sataliya, Anup Sataliya, Shrikant, and Kamlesh Sataliya — allegedly assaulted him with a beer bottle and a small knife, causing simple bleeding injuries.
Police said the accused allegedly acted with common intention during the assault.
Based on the complaint, Calangute Police registered Crime No. 81/2026 under Section 118(1) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar.
