MARGAO: Canacona SCC defeated United Club of Verna 2-0 to emerge champions of the Navelim Villagers Union Cup organized by Navelim Villagers Union and played at Rosary church ground, Navelim.
Both the goals for Canacona SCC were scored in the second session through Elric Barretto and Pralhad Velip.
Earlier, Yamnursaib of Canacona SCC and Jesloy Moniz of UC Verna missed scoring chances.

Valentine Alvares chaplain of Our Lady of Mt Chapel Telaulim, Fr. Dylan Clive D’costa Asst.PP of Our Lady of Rosary church Navelim, Edwin Cipru Cardozo Zp member Michael Cardozo Sarpanch of VP Navelim, Ex Mla Velinda Afonso Dy.sarpanch Navelim other dignitaries and club officials were present for the finals.
