NUVEM: Two persons sustained bodily injuries after a Bajaj Dominar motorcycle was allegedly hit by an Ertiga car at the four-road junction near the Honda showroom at Nuvem on September 22.
According to a complaint lodged by ASI Anant Gaonkar of Maina Curtorim Police Station, the incident occurred at around 7.35 p.m. The accused driver, Sudesh Shyam Langote, a resident of Gawaliwada, Fatorda, was allegedly driving the Ertiga car from Majorda towards Nuvem.
Police stated that upon reaching the four-road junction near the Honda showroom, the Ertiga allegedly collided with an oncoming Bajaj Dominar motorcycle travelling from Verna towards Margao.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider, Virgil Walter Rodrigues, and pillion rider Raksha Devi, both residents of Pandicol, Curtorim, fell onto the road and sustained bodily injuries.
The case has been registered based on the state complaint, and further investigation is being conducted by ASI Anant Gaonkar of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
