Vasco: The session featured Mr. Heston Dias, Lecturer at IMS, Vasco, who spoke on career opportunities in the maritime and cargo industry, highlighting its vast potential and the skills required to succeed. Mr. Vaman Sankhalker, Lecturer at Government Polytechnic, Bicholim, led a discussion on NEP 2020 and its role in reskilling and upskilling students to tackle real-world challenges. He emphasized how multidisciplinary learning and practical skill development are key to staying relevant in a rapidly changing job market.
The students displayed great enthusiasm, actively participating in discussions and asking insightful, mature questions about career pathways, industry demands, and the evolving education system.
The event was graced by Mr. Rumaldo Gonsalves, President of the Barebhat Social and Cultural Association, Mrs. Carmelina Miranda, the school’s headmistress, and Mr. Manthan, the Taluka in Charge from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
