PANAJI: Showcause notices have been issued to several Site Supervisors, Sr. Supervisors and Supervisors by CCP Commissioner for failing to keep Panaji roads clean ‘due to the lethargic attitude’ as well as ‘lack of interest in doing their work’.
The action was initiated following the site inspection held by govt officials today in view of G20 summit.
During the site inspection it was found that various drains and gutters in the City are accumulated with plastic and glass bottles as well as heaps of leaves are found uncollected for several days along the streets, specified the notice.
Supervisors and Supervisors posted in their respective areas are not upto the mark and that road cleaning, drain repair/clean-ups, tree pruning, weed cutting etc, are not done regularly and effectively by the respective area Site Supervisors, Sr. Supervisors and Supervisors which is unacceptable, the notice further adds.
