PANAJI: Minister for Cooperation, Subhash A Shirodkar reviewed the implementation of various digital projects undertaken by Registrar of Cooperative Society’s Goa (RCS) at Porvorim yesterday.
Present on the occasion were Shri. Prashant Kumar Mittal , Deputy Director General and Scientist G ,NIC , New Delhi, (Head of Group for Cooperation Projects for all States), Shri. Sameer P. Datar, State Informatics Officer, Goa, Shri J.S.Rozario , Scientist F, Shri S. Senthil Nayagam, Scientist D, Shri Kabir Shirgaonkar, Registrar of Cooperative Society’s Goa and Shri Rupesh Korde AR.
Shri Shirodkar guided the team to speed up the process of various digital cooperation projects and asked to make them operational in the coming financial year. He stressed the need to complete the projects in a time bound manner and issued necessary directions to this effect.
The RCS Goa is directed to go live with its integrated digital portal soon in collaboration with NIC , which will enable cooperative societies to conduct transactions and access services online.
The computerisation process is expected to bring in accuracy in management and transparency in the overall affairs and management of cooperative department in the State.
This year is celebrated as International year of Cooperation and the Ministry of Cooperation Govt of India under leadership of Shri Amit Shah aims to strengthen the cooperative sector, promote rural development, and improve the lives of farmers and rural communities.
