Panaji: In a significant drug bust, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police apprehended a 32-year-old man in Siolim, Bardez for possession of illegal narcotic substances.
The raid, conducted on July 22, 2025, was led by PSI Girish T. Padloskar along with PC 7533 Akshay Naik, PC 8249 Venkatesh Mainkar, PC 8654 Yogesh Madgaonkar, PC 8671 Tushar Parwar, PC 9444 Devraj Naik and LPC 9696 Seema Arparkar. The team caught the accused — identified as Rajan D Settiar, a native of Bangalore currently residing in Siolim — red-handed with 429.3 grams of suspected charas.
The seized contraband is valued at approximately ₹4.3 lakh in the international market.
The case has been registered under Crime No. 19/2025 at the Anti-Narcotics Police Station, Panaji, under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. PSI Padloskar is investigating the case under the supervision of DySP Nerlon Albuquerque and SP Sunita Sawant, GPS.
