SANKHALI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated a series of development and beautification projects worth around ₹52 lakh at Shree Mauli Temple in Falwada Kudne, Sankhali.
The inauguration programme was held as part of the Vardhapan Din celebrations of Shree Mauli Temple and witnessed the presence of local residents, devotees and temple committee members.
The projects undertaken through the MLA Local Area Development (LAD) Fund include rejuvenation of the temple lake under the Water Resources Department at an estimated cost of ₹25 lakh.
Another ₹25 lakh has been allocated for the construction of a Ganapati Visarjan platform along with beautification works in and around the temple premises.
Additionally, a shade facility for Devostsav-related activities has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹2 lakh to improve convenience for devotees during temple events and festivals.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment towards preserving and upgrading religious and cultural spaces across Goa while ensuring improved infrastructure for devotees and the local community.
