The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, launched “Know Your Scheme” services under Goa online to have less government and more governance in assisting the public in providing Government benefits at their doorsteps.
Chief Minister speaking after launching the scheme, said citizens are not aware of the various benefits provided by the Government. This service is an endeavour of the Government to provide information of all beneficiary oriented schemes at the doorstep of the last person so that the fruits can reach anthyodaya, the Chief Minister added.
Chief Minister said the Government through the Department of Information Technology, in coordination with the Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation, has taken up a new initiative on developing “Know Your Schemes” service on Goa Online Portal, which will provide the scheme details eligible to them and guide the citizen for identifying all the related schemes by feeding their information on the portal such as personal/demographic/ socio-economic/education/sector-wise information. The “Know Your Schemes” service is developed by Goa Electronics Limited under the e-district Programme.
The Chief Minister said Schemes offered by various departments will be easily accessible along with scheme notification, eligibility, benefits all under one platform. With “Know Your Schemes” citizens will be able to identify all the related schemes based on their personal, demographic, socio-economic, educational, sector-wise information on a single portal. The system will auto assess the citizen’s requirements, map the same and list out the related schemes department wise that can be availed, the Chief Minister added.
Chief Minister said that twenty departments have uploaded the relating to 190 various public-oriented schemes and added that scope is expanding and likely to cover all Government Schemes in the portal soon. He urged the people to approach the respective Panchayat to avoid any difficulties and also directed the Panchayats to assist all such people so that the benefit of the related schemes reach all deserving and last persons of society.
Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS, Principal Secretary (Finance), Revati Kumar, CEO & Executive Director, GEL, Smt. Asha Sambary, Dy. Director Planning, Statistics and Evaluation, Shri Dilesh Khandeparkar, Manager GEL, Shri Puskar Prabhudessai, Software Engineer, GEL and Shri Hirendra Naik, Assistant Director Information and Technology, were present on occasion.
