PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant today informed that he would be writing to the Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnav, to introduce Vandhe Bharat trains between Mangaluru and Goa.
CM Sawant was speaking to the media after arriving from Mangaluru via train.
“I would be writing to the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urging him to install wifi facility in the Railway coaches and also start with a Vande Bharat train from Goa to Mangalore,’ said CM Sawant.
He further said that he ravelled by train and noticed a couple of issues, the most important being a lack of Wi-Fi connectivity.
Sawant said that the Vande Bharat train, which will run between Mumbai and Mangalore, should be extended to Goa, while the Air connectivity between Mangalore and Manohar International Airport at Mopa should also be there.
“The connectivity between Mangalore and Mumbai will help the tourism and trade between both the states,” he said.
