PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar on Friday alleged that Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is involved in theft and transportation of ore under the cover of Lockdown.
“The illegal movement of trucks carrying mining ore on roads of Sanquelim-Bicholim was seen by all in Goa through the viral videos on various social media platforms.” said Panjikar
He said, ” It is found that the trucks were registered outside Goa and the driver as well as the cleaner were non-goans. They did not carry any documents of mining ore transportation.”
The government has announced three day lockdown and Janata Curfew in the night and advising people to stay at home, Surprisingly the government turns a blind eye on all these truck drivers to come to Goa witout Covid Negative certificate.
“As CM himself is involved in this illegal activity, no official from Police or RTO were present on road to check the movement of these trucks.” He added
Meanwhile, GPCC demanded that Governor must immediately take note of this illegal activity carried out with the direct involvement of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and depute a Special Investigative team to check from where the ore is brought and transported to which loacation.
