PANAJI: The Congress Party and the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) have stepped up efforts to strengthen their political alliance, with senior leaders from both parties holding a meeting to reinforce their partnership and discuss a united approach to issues concerning Goa and its people.
The Congress delegation was led by AICC General Secretary In-charge Shri Manikrao Thakare and included AICC Secretary In-charge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, South Goa MP Capt. Viriato Fernandes and Working President M. K. Sheikh.
Representing the RGP were National President and MLA Viresh Borkar, State President Shavina Naik Shirodkar, Advisor Amol Navelcar and other party leaders.
The meeting underscored the importance of greater coordination and a strengthened partnership between the two parties as they seek to advance issues affecting Goa.
