BAMBOLIM: Traffic movement along the Bambolim–Santa Cruz stretch of NH-66 was disrupted after a container truck overturned on the slope leading towards Panaji on Monday.
According to the Traffic Police, vehicles travelling from the Bambolim side towards the capital city are being diverted through the Santa Cruz route near the Nexa showroom to ease congestion and ensure smooth movement.
Authorities have also advised heavy vehicles coming from South Goa and heading towards Panaji to avoid the affected route and instead travel via the Borim–Ponda road.
Traffic personnel have been deployed at key junctions to regulate movement and guide commuters through the alternate routes.
The Goa Traffic Police urged motorists to remain alert, cooperate with officials on duty, and follow traffic instructions while travelling through the area. Drivers have also been asked to maintain caution on the slippery stretch and avoid speeding to prevent further accidents.
