CANACONA: Three more Covid cases were detected in Canacona taking overall active count to 22 in a fresh wave of Covid infections.
According to Health services sources, on an average of 3-4 positive cases are found in Canacona. ‘out of 4 samples sent for RTPCR tests, 3 were postive on Thursday. Incidentally, a school student who came to CHC for fever,was found Covid infected, some more sample collection will be carried out from the particular school in the southern of Canacona taluka ‘, Informed the source
When asked if people are volunteering to come for Covid tests in Canacona, the source informed only the patients symptomatic people who visits CHC for treatment are referred by the medical officers for tests.
Most of the viral infection are of mild severity, and normally a patient is provided with a kit and advised compulsory home isolation for 7 days, and if the symptoms persists beyond 7 days patients are advised three more days in home isolation’, informed a doctor at the CHC.
A day before 4 cases were detected on a single day while aday before 7 cases were found.
However, the infection is not saturated to any one place, but almost cases returns postive from all over the taluka,
The severity of the Covid virus and infection itself are lesser because of the Covid vaccinations, added the doctor.
People are requested to postively wear Face masks and take every precaution as was previously taken to avoid further spread of Covid virus.
