PANAJI: Siddhique, also known as Suleiman Mohammad Khan, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on November 12 for land grabbing cases from Hubballi. According to the Goa police on Tuesday, he used the SIM cards and bank accounts of most of the 35 women he befriended to stay hidden and carry out illicit activities.
“Suleiman was wanted in three SIT cases for land grabbing and was declared proclaimed offender in two cases filed at Anjuna and Mapusa Police Stations,” stated Rahul Gupta, Superintendent of Police (SP), Crime Branch, during a press conference.
According to the SP, Suleiman has been the subject of seven cases filed at the Mapusa, Valpoi, and Anjuna police stations.
In addition, he has four FIRs filed against him in Hyderabad, three in Pune, and one in Delhi, where the Delhi Court has deemed him a proclaimed criminal.
According to Gupta, Suleiman had been detained in a number of prisons throughout the nation, including Cherlapally (Hyderabad), Tihar, Yerawada, and Colvale. Six properties in all—two in Tivim, three in Gaulim Mola, and one in Mapusa—are at issue in the cases filed against him in SIT.
According to the SP, police are also investigating four additional houses where he may be engaged. According to the police officer, his personal possessions in Belgaum and Mapusa would be attached.
