PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that medicines with a red line must never be consumed without the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.

The misuse of antibiotics is a critical issue, contributing to the alarming rise in antibiotic resistance, which undermines the effectiveness of treatments for various infections,” said Rane
He further said that it is crucial that we adhere to prescribed guidelines and use antibiotics only when necessary.
“Let us all work towards eliminating the indiscriminate use of antibiotics,” he added
Rane said that Dental trauma is a common yet often overlooked issue among children, leading to preventable tooth loss due to lack of timely intervention.
“Through this collaboration with ISDT, we are ensuring that healthcare professionals, educators and parents are equipped with the right knowledge to handle such injuries effectively,” he added
