CUNCOLIM: In a major breakthrough cuncolim police arrested a security guard namely lakshi Basumatary (45) n/o Assam from Margao railway station for committing murder of fellow security guard siddharamayya Rachayye Wandal (66) deployed at Boat craft company at IDC cuncolim on the intervening night of 23 and 24 November 2020.
Accused has confessed to have committed the crime and cuncolim police has recovered the weapon of assault, an iron pipe, at the instance of accused person.
Further investigation is in progress with PI Therron Dcosta.
