DABOLIM: D. Mahesh Babu, INAS, has taken over as the General Manager, Naval Armament Depot, Goa, from Bhupendra Sharma, INAS, who has been transferred to NHQ/DGONA on 22 May 2026, after rendering two years of distinguished service as General Manager, NAD Goa.
D. Mahesh Babu belongs to the 2009 batch of the Indian Naval Armament Service and joined the Naval Armament Organisation on 28 October 2009. An alumnus of Anna University, Chennai, he has held several key appointments at NAD Visakhapatnam, NAD Karwar, NAD Arakkonam, NAD Trombay, and NAD Goa.
He is an OEM-trained officer on the Mk-54 Torpedo in the United States and has significantly contributed to the growth and operational readiness of the Naval Armament Organisation. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing NAD Arakkonam from its inception and developing it into a fully functional depot.
With his vast experience, technical expertise, and proven leadership, D. Mahesh Babu is well poised to lead NAD Goa towards greater operational excellence and mission readiness.
