MORMUGAO: Delta Group has secured five major awards from Mormugao Port Authority in recognition of its operational performance and cargo handling efficiency during the financial year 2025-26. The awards were presented at a function attended by senior port officials and industry representatives.
The company received the award for highest cargo handling as stevedores at port-operated locations, which was accepted by Sarvesh Morajkar. Delta Group also won the award for highest loading of bulk cargo in the semi-mechanized category within 24 hours, received by Chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed and Sami Ahmed.
The award for maximum rakes handled by stevedores was received by Delta Vice President and General Manager Goa Operations Raghoba A. Kotkar along with Benedicto Andrade. Mohiuddin Ahmed was also honoured with the award for fastest rake unloading, while the award for fastest rake loading was presented to Raghoba Kotkar and Sachin Kambli by the Customs Commissioner.
Delta Group management congratulated its Goa operations team for their consistent performance, teamwork and commitment towards maintaining high standards of productivity and safety at the port. The company stated that the awards reaffirm Delta Group’s strong presence in port logistics and cargo handling operations in the region.
Special appreciation was extended to Raghoba A. Kotkar for his leadership and operational coordination, which the company said played a key role in achieving efficient rake handling and faster turnaround benchmarks during the year.
