Panaji: In line with the Digital India mission, Goa has recently launched the “Sarvottam Seva Yojana” scheme to recognize and support Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who deliver essential government services directly to citizens through CSCs (Common Service Centers).
This initiative aims to commend VLEs for their exceptional service and commitment. Under this scheme, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa will recognize CSC-VLE entrepreneurs based on their performance and the number of government service transactions they handle.
CSC-VLEs who process an average of over 200 government service transactions per quarter will be awarded with the “Sarvottam Seva Puraskar” along with a quarterly remuneration of Rs. 15,000. The top 5 CSC-VLE entrepreneurs from each taluka will be eligible for these awards.
The CSC-VLEs play a vital role in creating jobs in rural areas, directly boosting Goa’s economic growth.
The ‘Sarvottam Seva Yojana Scheme’ underlines Goa’s proactive approach in harnessing technology to enhance governance and citizen welfare.
