One remarkable instance was when Mrs. Sulakshana Sawant, the head of the Padmini Foundation, invited Dr. Jagat Shah, a well-known mentor from the Vibrant Goa Foundation, to mentor self-help group members at a recent event. The Honorable Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, graced this occasion.
The event showcased the rich local craftsmanship of Goa, with participants displaying their handmade crafts. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant encouraged the women to enhance their packaging, upskill their businesses, and explore e-commerce platforms like Swayampurna e-Bazar.
Dr. Shah shared valuable insights on leveraging opportunities at the upcoming summit, emphasizing sustainable practices and encouraging participants to integrate these principles into their ventures. The summit promises a diverse range of exhibitions, workshops, and networking sessions designed to foster economic growth and collaboration in Goa.
The initiative was supported by Mr. Arman Bankley, President of the Vibrant Goa Foundation, and Mr. Gautam Kharangate, a trustee of the foundation. Their collective efforts set a positive tone for the impactful summit, scheduled for November 8-10, 2024, at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Goa.
