PANAJI: In an impressive display of emergency medical expertise, EMT Devyani Dessai and Pilot Gourish Pouginikar skillfully managed a critical case involving 26-year-old Meera Dishal, who was in active labor at 37 weeks with complications.
During transport, they successfully delivered a healthy baby boy despite a challenging umbilical cord complication, with the newborn scoring a perfect APGAR of 10.
The mother remained stable throughout, and the team’s decision to proceed directly to the hospital ensured optimal care for both patients.
