PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a meeting of HoDs and secretaries to review the progress on major infrastructure projects in the state.
The chief minister’s office said on Tuesday in a media release that the chief minister convened a review meeting on Monday with the secretaries to the Goa government and all heads of departments.
“Have directed to expedite various infra works; Finance dept will clear files related to public centric projects,” said Sawant.
He further said that all payments under various social welfare schemes are to be cleared by today and that the department has already started releasing funds to beneficiaries.
According to the CMO, Sawant evaluated the status of significant infrastructure projects in each of their departments, with a focus on Revenue, Health, and Fisheries.
According to the press release, “CM instructed the officials to streamline and expedite the works to ensure faster and more efficient delivery.”
Sawant also declared that new administrative buildings would be built by the state government in each of the talukas.
According to the CMO, the state government is also renovating a number of health facilities throughout the state.
