The Goa government on Friday reshuffled Superintendents of Police with four awaiting posting, given the charge.
Amongst the four awaiting posting for more than a month after their promotion to the rank of SP, Sammy Tavares is posted at Konkan Railway while Mahesh Gaonkar is given the charge of Special Branch (Panjim) with additional charge of Anti Narcotics Cell, Serafin Dias is the new SP for Anti Corruption Branch with additional charge of Economic Offenses Cell and Lawrence D’Souza is the SP (CID).
The posting order by the Department of Personnel incidentally comes after Goa Forward Party’s Vice President Durgadas Kamat had questioned the delay on the part of the government.
South Goa SP Arvind Gawas (IPS) has been transferred to Headquarters replacing Shekhar Prabhudessai, who is posted as SP Training/Principal of the Police Training School with additional charge of Commandant IRB.
SP (Crime) Pankaj Kumar Singh (IPS) has been given the charge of the South district whereas SP (ACB) Shobhit Saxena (IPS) will take over as SP (Crime) with additional charge of Anti Terrorist Squad.
The order released by Department of Personnel also states that North SP Utkrisht Prasoon (IPS) will hold the additional charge of SP (State Police Control Room) and SP FRRO Bosco George (IPS) will hold additional charge of Coastal Security and DCGHG and DDCD besides Security and Wireless.
