PONDA: Underground Cabling in four constituency of Ponda Taluka will be taken up at a cost of Rs 160 crore with Rs 40 crore being spent in each constituency at Ponda, Marcaim, Priol and Shiroda, said Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar.
Power Minister said the main target is to generate revenue of Rs 600 crore to undertake development work in the power sector including undeground cabling.
The today foundation stone for underground cabling at Ponda commenced at hands of Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar. from Booadbag Talule in Marcaim constituency at a cost of around Rs 13 crore wherein work of improvement of 11 kV High Tension Electrical network of 11 kV Undir and 11 kV Durbhat feeder will be taken with underground cabling, this work would benefit 8000 houses from parts of four Panchayat including Kavlem, Bandora, Wadi Talavalim and Durbhat Agapur.
Power Minister said the main target is to generate revenue and after he take over charge as power Minister he managed to generate revenue of Rs 180 Crore in four months due to which revenues of the Power department increased by Rs 36 per cent the first time.
