CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered an offence against four persons for allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old youth at Candolim in Bardez.
The complaint was filed by Mr. Samuel Bobby Fernandes (19), a resident of Arady Vaddo, Candolim, and the offence was registered on February 25, 2026, at 9:42 pm.
As per the complaint, the incident took place on January 23, 2026, at around 3:30 am at Evy Mart near the football ground in Candolim. The accused have been identified as Manjunath Badgavi, Rahul Naik, Amrut Patil and Parshuram, all residents of Arady Vaddo, Candolim.
The complainant alleged that the four accused, acting with common intention, abused him with filthy words and assaulted him with fist blows on his face. They allegedly pushed him to the ground and continued to assault him with kicks and punches on various parts of his body over a previous enmity. The accused also reportedly threatened him with dire consequences.
Police have registered the case, and further investigation is in progress under PSI Rajaram Bagkar.
