MARGAO: Congress Leader Girish Chodankar has demanded the arrest of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat for illegally entering the counting centre at Margao & violating the model code of conduct.
“Margao MLA illegally entered the counting centre at Margao and violated the model code of conduct. Election authorities & police should immediately arrest him,” said Chodankar.
He further said that Congress South Goa Candidate Capt Viriato Fernandes has filed a complaint with the returning officer and police.
On verification, the Returning Officer clarified that Digambar Kamat, MLA, had not entered the counting centre at Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics South Goa, Margao.
