PANAJI: For the purpose of hiring people for the Central government, the State government has designated Goa Konkani Akademi as the sole authorized body to issue the Konkani knowledge certificate.
Prashant Shirodkar, the Director of Official Languages, stated in a notification that Goa Konkani Akademi is the only organization authorized by the government to grant certificates of “knowledge of Konkani.”
According to the notification, “Goa Konkani Akademi,” which was founded by the Goan government, has been approved by the government to serve as the competent authority for issuing a certificate of Konkani knowledge to a candidate who has a valid 15-year residence certificate from a Competent Authority.”
It further stated that the credential will be accepted for employment at the Central Government Offices and Courts.
