PANAJI: On Monday, night there were reports that a team from the Kochi-based Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided casinos located in and around Panaji.
It is understood that the Kochi ED team landed in the State and searched casino operators, though specifics were not made public.
However, it was unclear if raids were conducted on land-based or offshore casinos.
A few casinos were discovered to be closed for repairs; they were scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the Panaji police had no knowledge of the ED raids.
