PANAJI: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has instructed secondary and higher secondary schools to take strict action against the students registered as private candidates after discovering that they frequently skip regular classes and engage in misbehavior and disruption of the classroom.
Board Secretary VB Naik has requested schools to provide reports on the behavior and progress of the private student applicants and to bring up any issues with their parents or guardians.
“Take prompt action in accordance with the school’s disciplinary rules in the event that any private candidates are discovered to be misbehaving or disturbing the regular classes. According to Naik’s statement in the circular, schools may even stop the pupils from attending normal lessons under such circumstances.
Students who want to do better in classes IX and XI sign up as private candidates for the public examinations for classes X and XII, respectively. The Board has noted that these kids disobey the rules and regulations of the schools where they are enrolled in classes.
The Board has instructed schools to make it abundantly apparent to private candidates that enrollment in the private candidate program does not automatically give them the opportunity to attend normal classes. To guarantee that everyone can learn in a positive environment, schools are instructed to regularly monitor pupils’ behavior.
It emphasizes how crucial it is to keep the school’s learning environment peaceful and effective for all of the pupils. While we encourage private applicants to advance their academic performance, it is crucial to make sure that their presence does not interfere with others’ education, according to the Board.
