Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa government will present its budget for the next financial year before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
“State budget will be presented after the presentation of the Central budget. Central code of conduct in view of Lok Sabha polls will come later but we can announce our budget before that,” said Sawant
Incidentally, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has indicated earlier this month that the forthcoming Budget, to be presented on February 1,2024, would be a vote on account and bereft of any “spectacular announcements”.
