PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has hinted at a cabinet reshuffle in the next few days.
CM Sawant was quoted while speaking to a local news channel.
“Changes are needed in this government and they will happen in due course. It may take some time” said Sawant.
He further said that any violation of rules and regulations by Government Staff will be met with strict action to ensure transparency and maintain public trust.
“All Government officials are Public Servants, henceforth any violation of rules and regulations by Government Staff will be met with strict action to ensure transparency and maintain public trust,” said Sawant.
He further said that the Government is taking proactive measures to prevent Goa from facing a fate similar to Wayanad’s, by introducing policies, and reforms to protect our agricultural land.
“We are also sensitizing our departments and directing them to take swift action based on expert recommendations,” he added.
Sawant also said that under the Smart City Mission, we have made strategic use of our budget to set up an Integrated System, featuring more than 10,000 modern devices, leveraging the latest technologies inclusive of wifi hotspots and garbage truck monitoring.
He advised the opposition not to make statements which may portray Goa in a bad light at the start of tourist season. “Don’t spoil the name of Goa,” he said.
