PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that women in Goa will soon be able to work night shifts with revamped transportation facilities prioritising safety, enabling greater participation in the pharmaceutical and private sectors.
Stressing the importance of inclusive development, the CM said, “We are a developing country and we want to be a developed country by 2047. Our goal is to make Viksit Goa by 2037 — ten years ahead — and for that, we need everyone’s contribution in building Viksit Bharat 2047. This will benefit future generations.”
Sawant emphasised that improving workplace access and safety for women was essential for economic growth, and added that the government is committed to enabling the infrastructure needed to support this shift.
