Panaji: Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday launched a sharp attack on villagers and activists protesting against land conversion approvals, branding them “blackmailers” and asserting that the government will not bow to pressure tactics.
Reacting to the ongoing sit-in outside the TCP Department office, Rane said he would not take cognizance of the protest and refused to engage in negotiations with the agitators. “They are blackmailers. Let them sleep there day and night,” he remarked, making it clear that the department would not halt its functioning due to demonstration
