PORVORIM: Concerns over the implementation of gaming laws were raised by opposition leader Yuri Alemao’s claiming that live gambling is occurring in Goa’s onshore casinos.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant denied these claims, claiming that the government regularly inspects onshore casinos to make sure they are operating legally.
Sawant underlined that casinos that are found to be breaking the law will face severe consequences, which may include license suspension.
