PORVORIM: In a step toward enhancing public infrastructure and improving the quality of life for our residents, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated several key development initiatives in Porvorim,in the presence of Tourism & IT Minister S Rohan Khaunte.
CM informed that among the projects inaugurated was the Water Supply Improvement Project for Porvorim, Bardez Taluka, aimed at ensuring a sustainable and uninterrupted water supply for the region.
He said that this project includes the construction of a 650 cubic meter Overhead Reservoir (OHR) at Dhonwada and the installation of a 200mm DIA Pumping Main across Dhonwado, Kitla, Salvador do Mundo. Also inaugurated the Bypass Road to NH-66 in Porvorim Constituency.
CM extended his sincere gratitude to the Communidade for their generous contribution of land, which has played a vital role in bringing this project to fruition and that their support reflects a strong spirit of community partnership, reinforcing our collective commitment to progress.
He also stated that beyond enhancing water infrastructure, the development of the Bypass Road is another milestone that will help decongest NH-66, facilitating smoother traffic movement and improving overall connectivity for commuters.
