SANKHALI: Virus of Fear” a konkani drama penned by Mr. Shyam Gaonkar was released at the hands of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at Khedekar Hall in Sankhali.
Others present were Siddhi Prabhu, Chairperson of Sankhali Municipal Council, President of Goa Konkani Academy, Dr. Purnanand Chari, Well known writer, Mr. Zilu Gaonkar, Prof. Deepraj Satordekar, Prof. Anil Vernekar and and others graced the occasion.
Addressing the book reliese ceremony the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed the need of creation of rich konkani literature. He said that there is a need to record the different formats available in folk literature and same must preserve for posterity for the benefit of the next generation.
Chief Minister underscored the different schemes that are run by the State Government and urged the budding writers to avail the benefits of such schemes in order to bring out new books in literature.
Virus of Fear is the second book penned by Shri Shyam Gaonkar. Shortly two new Marathi books will be published informed by Shyam Gaonkar.
