PANAJI: Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister who is also the Minister for Tribal Welfare reviewed the performance of the Directorate of Tribal Welfare with Vikas Gaunekar, Additional Secretary Finance, Shri Dasharath Redkar, Director Tribal Welfare and Dr. Pratibha L.S, OSD to Chief Minister along with the officers of the Department at Altinho, Panaji.
During the meeting, various issues pertaining to the centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Tribal affairs, New Delhi, were discussed.
Also, Chief Minister elaborately reviewed the implementation of TSP and the performance of all the line Departments implementing the Tribal sub plan.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the performance of State sponsored schemes which included the schemes implemented on the Chief Minister Scholarship portal. It was decided that the Directorate of Tribal Welfare will start payment of 6 different schemes through Aadhar bridge payment system from the month of November.
Applications of schemes like Antya Sankar Sahay Yojana and scheme to support Children of Widow and Orphan child will receive online so that the applicant does not have to travel all the way to the heads of the respective districts to submit the application.
The status of development of this portal alongwith the issues related to the implementation of Vidhya Laxmi schemes were apprised to the Chief Minister.
Various efforts to motivate the students to claim the fixed deposit were explained to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister suggested various solutions to ease the difficulties faced by the Department.
