PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has welcomed the Union Government’s approval of the Bengaluru–Margao Vande Bharat Express, calling it a major boost for the state’s connectivity and development.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre, Sawant said the project fulfils a long-pending request made ahead of the Union Budget.
He said the new semi-high-speed train will improve travel between Goa and Karnataka, support tourism, and help drive regional economic growth.
