SIOLIM: Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, and Vice-Chairperson of Goa Entertainment Association, appealed to the philanthropic persons and businessmen to provide some aid to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund so that the needy and those affected by natural disaster victims of Goa can benefit from the Chief Minister’s Aid.
She was speaking after distributing cheques totalling around Rs 1 lakh 95 thousand to nine beneficiaries sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Aid Fund at her office in Siolim. Also present were siolim Marna Panchayat Sarpanch Sharmila Vernekar, sarpanch William fernandes, Odxel Panchayat Sarpanch Praveen Kochrekar and others.
Speaking further, she said that after being elected, she has supported many beneficiaries of the Siolim Constituency, who have suffered losses due to various reasons, as well as the poor needy for education and illness, through the Chief Minister’s Aid Fund.
“We are grateful to the Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, as the Chief Minister approved all the applications submitted by us for the Chief Minister’s Aid Fund. Denson D’Souza, who died in a cylinder blast in Anjuna, was sanctioned Rs 10 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on January 26 and handed over to his relatives,” MLA Delilah Lobo said.
