PANAJI:The government has declared March 20 a paid holiday being the “Polling Day” for General Election to 6 Municipal Councils of Bicholim, Valpoi, Pernem, Cuncolim, Curchorem-Cacora and Canacona, General Election to 30 Wards of Corporation of City of Panaji and Bye-election to Ward No.IX of Sanquelim Municipal Council, to the following workers who are entitled to vote
The paid holiday will apply to industrial workers in Goa, daily wage workers of government departments and state government industrial departments, commercial and industrial workers of private establishments in Goa, workers of all private establishments, daily wage/ casual workers employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings or any other establishments.
