PANAJI: The State government has declared that its employees will receive an ad-hoc bonus, which is a non-productivity linked bonus, on or before October 31st, in advance of the Diwali festival.
Nevertheless, employees in Group B and Group C will not be eligible for the bonus.
“It has been decided by the government of Goa to make the non-productivity linked bonus (ad-hoc bonus) applicable to the employees of the State government, with the condition that all employees in Group ‘C’ and all non-gazetted employees in Group ‘B’, drawing a Grade Pay of Rs 4600 and above (presently in level 7 of the Pay Matrix of the Seventh Pay Commission) as of 1 April 2024, shall not be covered under the present scheme,” the order issued by Naresh Gaude (Under Secretary Finance) said.
The directive specified that only the “e-payment” option would be used to distribute bonuses to other qualified employees.
Additionally, it stated that the Goa government’s adoption of the Office Memorandum (OM) of the Government of India only applies to employees of autonomous bodies (whether or not they are fully funded by the government) if their emoluments follow the same pattern as the government and they do not have any bonus, ex-gratia, or incentive schemes in place.
